After wildfires, restoring ecosystems is critical to ensuring healthy landscapes for wildlife and communities. This year, the BLM’s Twin Falls District and its partners went above and beyond, hand-planting over 500,000 native plants to help restore fire-impacted areas. These efforts are a key part of our strategy to rebuild and sustain vital habitats, accomplished in collaboration with the Mule Deer Foundation and Pheasants Forever.
Hand-planting native species helps restore biodiversity, improve soil health, and promote the return of wildlife to their natural habitats. Together, we’re planting native plants and sowing the seeds for a stronger, healthier ecosystem.
