No previous Dispatcher Experience required.
Key duties, depending on experience:
-Receive fire reports, determines location, land status, and current fire information to dispatch personnel, equipment, aircraft, and/or supplies.
-Track resource requests for fire and other emergency incidents.
-Initiate requests for additional resources as needed.
-Process and interpret weather information.
-Maintain resource status and tracking systems.
-Input data into a number of fire-related computer applications.
-Provide critical logistical support information to management and make recommendations concerning the efficient use of available resources.
-Monitor all fire radio communications and maintain telephone and radio conversation logs.
-Gathers data to perform briefings and provide information to supervisors and fire management personnel.
-Coordinate and assist with fire training and orientation.
Requirements:
-U.S. Citizenship.
-Background check and drug testing.
-6 months of employment experience.
-High School Diploma.
