Key Duties
-Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with regulatory requirements.
-Evaluates individual fuels treatments as well as the effectiveness of the overall fuels management program and makes program changes based on evaluation findings.
-Develops and conducts fuels management surveys to document presence, amount, and types of hazardous fuels.
-Serves as the technical expert and advisor to the Fire Management Officer and/or unit/tribal leadership on fuels management.
-Review new and/or revised policy directives or programs guidance, develops and distributes standards and guides for implementation and compliance.
